Open Heavens Prayer Points

PRAYER POINTS ON TODAY'S OPEN HEAVENS:

(Sunday, November 7, 2021)

YE SHALL DECREE A THING!

Some of the prayer points are deep spiritually and may not be understood by carnal minds.

Prayer Points:

1.Thank You, Father, for putting on my tongue, the power of life and death; and, for the gift to decree a thing and for it to be established.

4.Father, please, give me the grace to maintain a holy and righteous walk with You, all the days of my life, in Jesus' name.

5.Father, let Your fire consume in my life, every spirit of doubt and double mindedness, in Jesus' name.

6.Father, release upon my life the grace and the power to run away from temptation and from every appearance of evil, in Jesus' name.

7.Father, let Your fire fall upon my tongue and let the power to decree a thing and for it to be instantly established, be activated in my life, now, in Jesus' name.

8.I decree that all my expectations in Christ Jesus, shall never be cut short, but shall be fully realised, in Jesus' name.

9.My Father, I decree according to Your word that every mountain threatening my destiny and the fullness of my joy, be removed now, in Jesus' Name.

10.Father, bless your son, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, and let Your word in his mouth never fall to the ground nor return unto You void, in Jesus' name.

Open Heavens Daily Devotional by Pastor E.A. Adeboye

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL

DATE: SUNDAY 7TH NOVEMBER 2021.

THEME: YE SHALL DECREE A THING!

MEMORISE:

For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

Mark 11:23

READ: Job 22:23-30.

23 If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles.

24 Then shalt thou lay up gold as dust, and the gold of Ophir as the stones of the brooks.

25 Yea, the Almighty shall be thy defence, and thou shalt have plenty of silver.

26 For then shalt thou have thy delight in the Almighty, and shalt lift up thy face unto God.

27 Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear thee, and thou shalt pay thy vows.

28 Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.

29 When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person.

30 He shall deliver the island of the innocent: and it is delivered by the pureness of thine hands.

MESSAGE:

There are many types of prayers. Today, we shall be discussing the prayer of decrees because there is a level you would get to in spiritual warfare at which prayers of supplication or intercession may not be adequate. Our Lord Jesus Christ in our memory verse today assured us that whatever we command shall obey us. Mark 11:24, He also said:

“Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”

A prayer of decree creates; it does not take “No” for an answer. More often, only those who walk intimately with God engage effectively in prayer of decrees. The Bible says:

“Thus saith the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me.” Isaiah 45:11

In Ezekiel chapter 37, Ezekiel prayed a prayer of decree and the dry bones lived again. I decree that every mountain threatening the fulness of joy in your life is removed today, in Jesus’ name. this is because it is written that whatever we say unto a mountain “Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea,” our words shall come to pass, according to our memory verse today.

Some years ago, a couple trusting God for the fruit of the womb came to us for prayers. When they disagreed about what sex the baby should be, we intervened by decreeing that they would have a set of twins- a boy and a girl. They keyed into the prayer of decree and had a set of twins- a boy and a girl. I decree that your expectations shall be fulfilled far beyond your imagination, in Jesus’ name.

For us to effectively engage in prayer of decrees however, we must abide in Christ and His words must abide in us (John 15:7). This means you must be born again and live a life of total obedience unto God. If you had been born again but fell into sin, now is the time to repent and return to God.

Our Bible reading of today summarizes this message excellently; if you are on the side of God, you will declare a thing and it shall come to pass.

PRAYER POINT:

My Father, I decree according to Your word: every mountain threatening my destiny is removed now, in Jesus’ name.

HYMN 23:  STANDING ON THE PROMISES OF CHRIST MY KING.

1. Standing on the promises of Christ my King,

Through eternal ages let His praises ring,

Glory in the highest, I will shout and sing,

Standing on the promises of God.

Refrain:

Standing, standing,

Standing on the promises of God my Savior;

Standing, standing,

I’m standing on the promises of God.

2. Standing on the promises that cannot fail,

When the howling storms of doubt and fear assail,

By the living Word of God I shall prevail,

Standing on the promises of God.

3. Standing on the promises I now can see

Perfect, present cleansing in the blood for me;

Standing in the liberty where Christ makes free,

Standing on the promises of God.

4. Standing on the promises of Christ the Lord,

Bound to Him eternally by love’s strong cord,

Overcoming daily with the Spirit’s sword,

Standing on the promises of God.

5. Standing on the promises I cannot fall,

List’ning every moment to the Spirit’s call,

Resting in my Savior as my all in all,

Standing on the promises of God.

Open Heavens Daily Devotional by Pastor E.A. Adeboye

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL

DATE: SATURDAY 6TH NOVEMBER 2021.

THEME: JEHOVAH NISSI.

MEMORISE:

The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Psalm 27:1

READ: 1 Samuel 17:45-50

45 Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.

46 This day will the LORD deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.

47 And all this assembly shall know that the LORD saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the LORD's, and he will give you into our hands.

48 And it came to pass, when the Philistine arose, and came, and drew nigh to meet David, that David hastened, and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine.

49 And David put his hand in his bag, and took thence a stone, and slang it, and smote the Philistine in his forehead, that the stone sunk into his forehead; and he fell upon his face to the earth.

50 So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and smote the Philistine, and slew him; but there was no sword in the hand of David.

MESSAGE:

We have an enemy- the devil, who is more dangerous that the likes of Goliath; however, the good news is that we also have Jehovah Nissi (the Lord our Banner) who would always give His children victory. The Bible says that the devil, as a roaring lion walks about, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). The was exactly what Goliath did. He roared at the children of Israel and they trembled before him.

The children of Israel however, overcame their enemy through David- God’s anointed. The enemy came, cursing David by the name of his god and David countered him by declaring the Almightiness of Jehovah Nissi.

“This day will the LORD deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.” 1 Samuel 17:46

The story in Exodus 17:8-16 also shows us clearly that battles of life are beyond the physical. The Israelites prevailed against the Amalekites as long as Moses’ hands were raised in prayers and worship to the Almighty God. When Moses’ hands became heavy, God provide help through Aaron and Hur to hold his hands up until the Amalekites were completely conquered. Moses returned all the glory of the victory to God by raising an altar and naming it “Jehovah Nissi” to acknowledge that the Lord is the Banner over Israel.

We need God to be the Banner over us if we are to overcome in the battles of life, for we wrestle against unseen forces (Ephesians 6:12). We must therefore, put on the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:13-18) as we cannot win the battles of life without win the battles of life with our sense or physical weapons. When King Saul wanted to introduce a physical weapon to David, he rejected it because he knew the battle was the Lord’s.  David went instead in the name of the Lord with an ordinary sling in his hands because the name of the Lord is a strong tower (Proverbs 18:10).

I encourage you to take hold of the name of the Lord as from today and you will subdue every giant that comes against you. However, you must have a cordial relationship with Jehovah Nissi by submitting to His lordship and living holy (Matthew 5:48).

PRAYER POINT:

Father, I come against all the giants threatening my destiny and destroy them completely, in Jesus mighty name.

HYMN 21:  ROCK OF AGES CLEFT FOR ME.

1. Rock of Ages, cleft for me,

Let me hide myself in Thee;

Let the water and the blood,

From Thy wounded side which flowed,

Be of sin the double cure,

Save from wrath and make me pure.

2. Not the labor of my hands

Can fulfill Thy law’s demands;

Could my zeal no respite know,

Could my tears forever flow,

All for sin could not atone;

Thou must save, and Thou alone.

3. Nothing in my hand I bring,

Simply to Thy cross I cling;

Naked, come to Thee for dress;

Helpless, look to Thee for grace;

Foul, I to the fountain fly;

Wash me, Savior, or I die.

4. While I draw this fleeting breath,

When my eyes shall close in death,

When I rise to worlds unknown,

And behold Thee on Thy throne,

Rock of Ages, cleft for me,

Let me hide myself in Thee.

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL

DATE: FRIDAY 5TH NOVEMBER 2021.

THEME: JEHOVAH JIREH.

MEMORISE:

And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah Jireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.

Genesis 22:14

READ: 1 Kings 17:12-16

12 And she said, As the LORD thy God liveth, I have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse: and, behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die.

13 And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son.

14 For thus saith the LORD God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the LORD sendeth rain upon the earth.

15 And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat many days.

16 And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by Elijah.

MESSAGE:

The name Jehovah Nissi means ‘The Lord will provide’. This means God’s provision is guaranteed. David described this truth in Psalm 23:1:

“The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.”

My prayer is that this will be your experience too, in Jesus’ name. our God is more than able to meet all our needs. Even today, the Lord will miraculously meet those needs that may be about to put you to shame, in Jesus’ name. David had multiple experiences of God’s provision and they reflect in his numerous Psalms. For example, he described the Lord God as:

“……God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Psalm 46:1

God is always on time. If the Present Help in trouble had not shown up on time for the widow of Zarephath, as seen in our Bible text today, the story would have been like that of the woman who killed her child for food in 2 Kings 6:25-29. However, for Jehovah Jireh to come to your aid, you need to have the same spiritual conviction exhibited by the widow. One of her virtues is that she believed in the God of Prophet Elijah. She knew the God Elijah served is alive. She knew what He could do. She trusted in Him completely and was thus able to obey Elijah’s instructions. Her obedience led to her receiving the blessing of multiplication. The Bible says in 2 Chronicles 20:20:

“And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.”

Beloved, if we believe in the Great Provider, it will show in how we lead our lives. We would not doubt His promises and so would respond in faith to His directives. We would not be cutting corners in order to achieve things in life because the Bible says “….Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.” (Romans 10:11).

The God who provided for Abraham shall always be there for us. The widow in our story was a woman of faith who believed in the God of Israel. She demonstrated this clearly through her respect for the man of God. Do you hold God in high esteem? If you do, it will show in how you treat your pastor and the words of his mouth. May Jehovah Jireh be there for you always, in Jesus name.

PRAYER POINT:

Father, You are the only One who can provide for all my needs. Please send help to me today, in the mighty name of Jesus.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: ISAIAH 1-6

AUTHOR: PASTOR E. A. ADEBOYE

HYMN 12:  IN CHRIST ALONE.

1. In Christ alone, my hope is found

He is my light, my strength, my song

This Cornerstone, this solid ground

Firm through the fiercest drought and storm

What heights of love, what depths of peace

When fears are stilled, when strivings cease

My Comforter, my All in All

Here in the love of Christ I stand

2. In Christ alone, who took on flesh

Fullness of God in helpless babe

This gift of love and righteousness

Scorned by the ones He came to save

'Til on that cross as Jesus died

The wrath of God was satisfied

For every sin on Him was laid

Here in the death of Christ I live, I live

3. There in the ground His body lay

Light of the world by darkness slain

Then bursting forth in glorious Day

Up from the grave He rose again

And as He stands in victory

Sin's curse has lost its grip on me

For I am His and He is mine

Bought with the precious blood of Christ

4. No guilt in life, no fear in death

This is the power of Christ in me

From life's first cry to final breath

Jesus commands my destiny

No power of hell, no scheme of man

Can ever pluck me from His hand

Till He returns or calls me home

Here in the power of Christ I'll stand

HYMN 26:  TO GOD BE THE GLORY GREAT THINGS HE HATH DONE.

1. To God be the glory, great things he hath done:

so loved he the world that he gave us his son,

who yielded his life an atonement for sin,

and opened the lifegate that all may go in.

Refrain:

Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, let the earth hear his voice!

Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, let the people rejoice!

O come to the Father, through Jesus the Son,

and give him the glory, great things he hath done.

2. Oh, perfect redemption, the purchase of blood,

to ev’ry believer the promise of God.

The vilest offender who truly believes,

that moment from Jesus a pardon receives.

3. Great things he hath taught us, great things he hath done,

and great our rejoicing through Jesus the Son,

but purer, and higher, and greater will be

our wonder, our transport, when Jesus we see.
