MEMORY VERSE

BIBLE READING: ISAIAH 24:1–6
1 Behold, the Lord maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof.
2 And it shall be, as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the lender, so with the borrower; as with the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him.
3 The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the Lord hath spoken this word.
4 The earth mourneth and fadeth away, the world languisheth and fadeth away, the haughty people of the earth do languish.
5 The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.
6 Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.
MESSAGE
Plenty people today dey live like say this world na their permanent house. Na only money, fine car, big house, expensive cloth, latest phone and enjoyment dem dey pursue. Dem believe say success for life na to gather plenty material things.
But James 4:4 tell us say anybody wey love this world pass God don become enemy of God. As children of God, God be our Husband (Isaiah 54:5). If anything for this world collect our heart from God, e be like spiritual adultery.
Beloved, make today's memory verse remain for your heart. Everything wey you dey see today na temporary.
That flashy motor wey everybody dey admire ten years ago, people no even dey look am today. The latest phone today fit become old model tomorrow. All these things no get eternal value.
The devil dey use material things take distract people from wetin really matter. Many young ladies don lose their purity because of latest phones, fine clothes, or money. Wetin dem lose no easy to recover, while the things wey dem gain fit disappear anytime.
Jesus ask for Mark 8:36-37:
"Wetin e go profit person if e gain the whole world but lose him soul?"
Nothing for this earth worth pass your soul. No allow the devil deceive you. Put your eyes on God, His kingdom, and eternal life. Remember say this world no be your permanent home; you just dey pass.
PRAYER POINT
Father, abeg help me make I keep my eyes on You alone and no let the things of this world distract me. In Jesus' name. Amen.
