15 And Saul's servants said unto him, Behold now, an evil spirit from God troubleth thee.

16 Let our lord now command thy servants, which are before thee, to seek out a man, who is a cunning player on an harp: and it shall come to pass, when the evil spirit from God is upon thee, that he shall play with his hand, and thou shalt be well.

17 And Saul said unto his servants, Provide me now a man that can play well, and bring him to me.

18 Then answered one of the servants, and said, Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, that is cunning in playing, and a mighty valiant man, and a man of war, and prudent in matters, and a comely person, and the LORD is with him.

19 Wherefore Saul sent messengers unto Jesse, and said, Send me David thy son, which is with the sheep.

20 And Jesse took an ass laden with bread, and a bottle of wine, and a kid, and sent them by David his son unto Saul.

21 And David came to Saul, and stood before him: and he loved him greatly; and he became his armourbearer.

22 And Saul sent to Jesse, saying, Let David, I pray thee, stand before me; for he hath found favour in my sight.

23 And it came to pass, when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul, that David took an harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him.

MESSAGE

Music is a very powerful spiritual tool. It is so, powerful that it actually carries spirit in it. Whenever evil spirits were tormenting King Saul, David would play his own godly music and all the evil spirits disturbing the king would leave the environment. When my father-in-the-Lord was still with us here on earth, he taught us a lesson that the kind of music we play in our homes determines the kind of spirits that will be living with us. I used to love playing worldly music in those days. That day when l realized that l had opened my home up to evil spirits because of the songs l was playing and singing along to, l eagerly rushed home after the service and destroyed all the cassettes. Could it be that the reason you pray, and your prayers don’t get answered is that the Holy Spirit of God does not find your home conducive to dwell in? 

Get rid of any such worldly songs in your home, phones and any other device now. Listen only to gospel songs and you will see the changes in your life within the next three months.

When you wake up in the morning or are preparing to go out, sing praises to God. At every opportunity you have just keep singing to Him. Get some hymns and worship songs saved on your phone and listen to them as often as you can, and your life will not remain the same

But now bring me a minstrel. And it came to pass, when the minstrel played, that the hand of the LORD came upon him.

2 Kings 3:15

I noticed many years ago that whenever the choir sang before l came up to preach, if they did very well, the Holy Spirit would flow seamlessly once l mounted the altar, but if they did not do so well, l would have to struggle a little at the beginning of the sermons before the 

Spirit begins to flow. I then discover a minstrel who could play the saxophone and cause the Spirit of God to move greatly. I told him to start playing right before l would come up to preach. That way, when the Spirit is already moving and this my son plays the saxophone, the power of God would already be at work all around the auditorium, with prophecies and miracle flowing soon after. Start using the power in godly music as from today.

ACTION POINT 

Get rid of any worldly music around you and replace it with only godly music.

5.Father, give me the power to live above sin and above all the activities of the flesh; and frustrate every satanic agenda to steal, to kill and to destroy, in my life,  in Jesus' name.

6.Father, whenever temptation to sin against You comes my way, please, make a way of escape for me as You have promised, in Jesus' name.

7.Father, please, order my steps in Your word, and let no iniquity have dominion over me, in Jesus' name.

8.Father, empower me by Your grace not to defile myself with the filthy lucre of this world; please, don't let me ever be a sacrificial lamb upon any satanic altar, in Jesus' name.

9.Father, give me the power to do Your perfect will in all things, throughout my sorjourn here on earth, and let me see You in glory, in the hereafter, in Jesus' name.

When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever: 

Psalms 92:7 

READ: Psalms 37:1 -11

1 Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.

2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.

3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

4 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.

MESSAGE

Many people keep wondering why sinners are flourishing while some believers don't have enough. Well, one of the reasons is that the devil is preparing those sinners as rams for the slaughtered, as we see in today's memory verse.

What the devil does is to give something worth an amount of money, say 1 million dollars, to his victims and then take something that money cannot buy from them. The 1 million dollars will seem like a lot, but when they compare it to what he took from them, they would then realize that they have been stolen from, killed and destroyed. That is the mission statement of the devil as revealed to us by Jesus Christ in John 10:10. Thus, when it appears as if a wicked person is prospering from his or her wickedness, don't envy their wealth; the reason the devil is prospering them is so that he can destroy them forever.

Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof...

Ecclesiastes 7:8

When someone gets wealth from the devil, he would only enjoy it for a while and at the end of the day, end up destroyed. When that end comes, you see the fellow preferring to let go of all the riches and embrace Christ. Such a person becomes sorrowful, and all the money would mean nothing once the fellow realizes that he or she is heading for destruction. That is why Psalm 37:16 says: "A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked".

It is better to have only a little and end up in heaven than to gain the whole world and lose your soul. In any case, God said His wish for you is that you prosper (3 John 2) even as your soul prospers, so don't go into sin because you want to prosper; God already has prosperity in store for you in the salvation package. You, however, need to live holy. He said in Deuteronomy 28:1-2 that if you hearken diligently to His word, He will set you on high above all nations of the earth. He said blessings will pursue and overtake you. That is the kind of blessing l like: the one that will pursue and overtake me, while at the end of the day, l would still end up in heaven. That is the kind of prosperity l like, not that of the wicked.

MESSAGES

The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he added no sorrow with it. 

Proverbs 10:22

When the Lord blesses the work of your hands, you will not only have great wealth, it will come with peace of mind. Wealth that comes from scheming and plotting against people will bring all sort of trouble-along with it. Haman was a rich man. In fact he was second-in-command to the king, yet, he was jealous and envious of Mordecai who was far below his rank (Esther 3:1-5). Do you want to enjoy great wealth as well as a peace of mind? Seek the blessing of the Lord.

How does this blessing of the Lord come? Deuteronomy 28:1 tell us:

And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandment which l command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth.

The blessing of the Lord comes through hearkening to the voice    of God and then observing to do all His commandments. First you must pay very close attention to His word, and then you must do exactly what He says. It is that simple. When the widow of Zarephath came into great wealth, it was because the Prophet gave her specific instructions and she obeyed them all, just as he directed her.

There was a man who was a manager in his place of work, and he kept talking to God, "For how long am l going to be an employee? Please prosper me greatly so l can also be an employer of labour". God told him to begin to roast and sell peanuts coated with honey. He obeyed. The last time l heard about him, he already had two private jets.

Sometimes, to get these specific instructions from God, you need to cry to Him in prayer as the widow did to Elisha. In the meantime, obey all the instructions you have read in the Bible. He said if you bring your tithe into His storehouse, then you will get blessing so large that your present bank account will not be able to contain it - hearken. He said that if you sow bountifully, you will reap bountifully-hearken. Hearken diligently to His word and see if He will not bless you tremendously.

PRAYER POINT 

Father, please tell me what I must do to succeed; reveals to me the hidden wealth of secret places and I promise that I will harken and do according to your word.

12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

MESSAGE

Many people, in their bid to get to the top and be accepted by others, like to jump on trends which only keep them at the bottom. The only people who get to the top are those who do not yield to the pressure to be like everyone else but create a path for others to follow. Those people are always true to themselves. Many people have lost their personal identity in Christ and the real purpose of God for their lives because  they are trying to be like everyone else. I have listened to many preachers l admire a lot. I admire how they deliver their sermons. I admire them, like them, but l don't copy them. Rather, l do it the way the Lord has taught me to. While the word is being preached, the sick are getting healed, the barren are made fruitful, captives of the devil are set free and many souls are saved. I am simply doing what God asked me to and He is helping me. That is how to get to the top. Psalm 121:1 says: "l will  lift up my eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help." If I you want God's help, then your eyes must be fixed on Him, not what is trending. Jesus said in John 5:19:

Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily , l say unto you, the Son can do nothing of himself, but what he Seeth the Father do, for what things so ever he doeth, these also-doeth the Son likewise.

The fellow who wants to be accepted by everybody will not focus on what is important. Instead his mind will be distracted by people's  perceptions. In my own field of practice, what is more important is intimacy with God. People came to me not because they like my face or for the fact that l studied Mathematics. It is because they know that l am close to the Lord and so if they want to hear from Him, l will tell them directly the mind of God. They are confident that if l ask God for something on their behalf, He would listen.

Several years ago, when many ministers of God were wearing big flowing robes and l continued with my little French suits, people call me names, but l wasn't bothered. You cannot be like everybody else and become a role model. A role model is someone who others copy, not someone who copies others. Don't copy the ways of the world; copy Christ and the world will come and copy you.

KEY POINT 

Don't be afraid to be different from everybody else as long as you are obeying and copying Christ.
