Prayer Points 

1.Father, i worship and adore You for bringing me to another month, thank You for answering me each time I cry out to You in Jesus' name

2.Thank You Father, for showing up for me and delivering me from events and situations that would have caused me shame in Jesus' name.

3.Father, in any way I have fallen short  of Your glory, please, have mercy and forgive me; break every wall of iniquities that have separated me from You in Jesus' name.

4.Father, please restore every gift and strength I had lost that had limited my increase and enlargement in Jesus' name.

5.Father, in my distress I cry out to You Lord, please hear me and deliver me from all my troubles in Jesus' name.

6.Father, please increase my faith in You and help me to live holy and to walk in righteousness for the rest of my life Jesus' name.

7.Father, You are the burden bearer, please carry all my spiritual and emotional burdens, let me experience peace in my body, soul and spirit in Jesus' name.

8.Father, our nation(put the name of your country) is in distress, please hear the cry of the poor, heal our land and save us out of all our troubles in Jesus' name.

9.Father, please give all our leaders the wisdom and courage to come directly to You for solutions to troubles confronting our nations in Jesus' name.

10.Father, bless your son, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye;  grant him divine health and long life; and, bless his ministry, home, and family (biological and spiritual), forever, in Jesus' name.

11.Father, bless Your son that You have been using to prepare these prayer points, beyond measures, and all those who have been rebroadcasting them, in Jesus' name.

12..Father, let every challenge, hindrance and obstacle of getting these prayer points across to Your children, timely, and on daily basis be removed, in Jesus' name.

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL

MEMORISE: 

This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.    

Psalm 34:6

READ: 2 Kings 6:1-7 

1 And the sons of the prophets said unto Elisha, Behold now, the place where we dwell with thee is too strait for us.

2 Let us go, we pray thee, unto Jordan, and take thence every man a beam, and let us make us a place there, where we may dwell. And he answered, Go ye.

3 And one said, Be content, I pray thee, and go with thy servants. And he answered, I will go.

4 So he went with them. And when they came to Jordan, they cut down wood.

5 But as one was felling a beam, the axe head fell into the water: and he cried, and said, Alas, master! for it was borrowed.

6 And the man of God said, Where fell it? And he shewed him the place. And he cut down a stick, and cast it in thither; and the iron did swim.

7 Therefore said he, Take it up to thee. And he put out his hand, and took it.

MESSAGE

In our Bible reading for today, Elisha would not have known about the axe head that fell if the man who lost it did not cry out for help. Many times, we need to cry to God until He answers us. There are people who will say that you don't need to open your mouth when you pray. While it is true that God knows everything, even before you cry, if you go through the Bible, you will see many instances where people cried to God. In Psalm 120:1, David said: "In my distress I cried unto the Lord and He heard me." In Psalm 77:1, the psalmist said, "I cried with my voice," not "with my heart" as many might suggest, saying that you can close your mouth and cry with your heart.

David said, I cried with my voice, and He heard me from His holy hill" (Psalm 3:4). I pray for you; whenever you cry unto God, He will hear you, in Jesus' name. There is, however, one thing that can prevent God from hearing you, and that is sin. The Bible says that if we regard iniquity in our hearts, God will not hear us (Psalm 66:18). However, if a sinner repents and cries to God for mercy, He will hear. In Psalm 34:17, David said: The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. If you are ready to cry to God today, He will deliver you from all your troubles.

I remember when I came to Lagos to work as a lecturer at the University of Lagos way back in 1969, somebody came to me and said, "This is what people do in Lagos - they give money to a prophet so that he will be fasting and praying for them. So, you have to do the same." I thought to myself, "ignorant people, the prophet will just take your money and do nothing." Thank God that we can call on God directly and He will answer us. Isaiah 59:1-2 says:

Behold, the LORD's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

You don't have to pay anyone to pray for you. All you need is to have faith in God and live holy; whenever you cry unto Him, He will answer you.

PRAYER POINT

Take that matter that has been bothering you to God in prayers now. Cry to Him, and He will answer you.

4.Father, please, help me to acquire the right knowledge in studying and meditating on Your Word daily in Jesus' name.

5.Father, establish Your fear in me such that I wouldn't do anything to annoy You  again in Jesus' name.

6.Father, You know my beginning and my ending, anything that will arise in between to destroy my relationship with You, consume it by Your fire in Jesus' name.

7.Father, help me to reject any wisdom that is not from You, no matter how good it may appear in Jesus' name.

8.Father, from now onwards, let every decision that I take be by devine revelations, in Jesus' name.

9.Father, with You all things are possible, as I walk with You, everything that looks impossible by mans wisdom, make them possible for me and help me to embrace godly wisdom in Jesus' name.

10.Father, bless your son, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye;  grant him divine health and long life; and, bless his ministry, home, and family (biological and spiritual), forever, in Jesus' name.

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL

DATE: FRIDAY MAY 31ST, 2024.

THEME: WISDOM IS PRINCPAL

MEMORISE: 

And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.

Job 28:28

READ: Proverbs 4:5-9 

5 Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.

6 Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee.

7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

8 Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her.

9 She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee.

MESSAGE

Wisdom is the correct application of knowledge. Acquiring knowledge and applying it are two different things. For example, if a man is driving on a road and sees a road sign that says, 'Narrow bridge ahead,' as soon as he sees that sign, he has acquired knowledge. However, what that man decides to do with

that knowledge will tell if he is wise or foolish. If the man is wise, he will slow down because the bridge ahead is narrow, and there might be an oncoming vehicle. On the other hand, if he is foolish, he will keep driving at the same speed or even increase the speed of the vehicle.

God said in Proverbs 4:7 that wisdom is the principal thing. Principal refers to the most important thing. This means that to God, getting wisdom is of utmost importance.

The Bible tells us that there are two types of wisdom. The first one comes from fearing God.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom:

Psalm 111:10

Wisdom begins when the fear of God is established in your life. When you fear God, you won't do anything to annoy Him because you know that He determines your beginning and end. The Bible calls Him a consuming fire (Hebrews 12:29); therefore, He is the last person you should offend. Also, if the Consuming Fire is on your side, you have nothing to fear because the word of God says that if God is for you, nobody can be against you (Romans 8:31). Wisdom teaches you to fear God, thus fear Him wherever you go and at all times.

The second type of wisdom is the wisdom of this world (1

Corinthians 1:20). This wisdom is not from God and is actually foolishness (1 Corinthians 1:18-25). The world does not recognize God, and as such, worldly wisdom is based on human logic and things that the human mind can grasp. With worldly wisdom, some things can be deemed impossible. However, the Bible tells us that with God, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26).

Do not go with the world's wisdom, as it is foolishness before God. Choose to fear God, obey His word, and He will give you wisdom, which is the principal thing that you need to succeed in life. When you embrace godly wisdom, you will be honoured and crowned with God's glory in everything that you do.

PRAYER POINT

Lord, help me to fear You daily and obey Your word, even if it sounds foolish to my human understanding, in Jesus name.

4.Father, please, surround me with multitudes of counsellors, that purpose can be established, in Jesus name.

5.Father, You're the best counsellor, let every counsel that I take be from You above  in Jesus name.

6.Father, let every other advice that I take from people, align with the word of God before being accepted, in Jesus name.

7.Father, help me to search the scriptures and be well versed in Your word to enable me take godly decisions, in Jesus name.

8.Father, from now onwards, let every decision that I take be by devine revelations, in Jesus name.

9.Father, please, if I die today, let me see You in glory, in Jesus name.
