 OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL

DATE: SUNDAY, MARCH 9TH 2025

TOPIC: CREATIVE MIRACLES

MEMORISE:

“But Jesus beheld them and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.” - (Matthew 19:26)

READ: JOHN 9:1-7 (KJV)

1 And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.

2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?

3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

6 When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay,

7 And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.

MESSAGE:

Miracles are extraordinary events that defy natural and scientific explanations. Our God is a God of miracles, and He takes great delight in shocking doubters and sceptics. God does different kinds of miracles, but today, I will focus on His creative miracles.

God performs creative miracles when people have concluded that a terrible situation is beyond remedy - nothing is impossible for Him. In today's Bible reading, Jesus and His disciples passed by a man who had been born blind, and the disciples asked Jesus about whose sin was responsible for the man's predicament. Jesus told them that it wasn't a question of sin but that the man's condition was intended to bring God glory. Jesus spat on the ground, made some mud, and put it on the blind man's eyes. He then told the man to go and wash, and after he washed off the mud, he came back seeing. That is what I call a creative miracle - a miracle involving the act of creation. If the doctors have said that you have an irreversible medical condition, God will recreate the part of your body that is affected, in Jesus' name. This was what God did in (2 Kings 5:1-14) when He healed Naaman's leprosy and made his flesh become like that of a newborn baby.

I have seen numerous cases of women who didn't have a womb but who gave birth to babies. Some of them had multiple births more than once. God is able to handle genetic issues, change blood groups, replace missing body parts, and even increase or reduce people's weights and heights. A man who had childlike faith once sat listening to me. As miracles happened around the altar, he struggled to see all that was happening because his sight was blocked by people who were taller than him. He then said in his heart, "If only I was taller." God heard him and told me that there was someone in the congregation who wished he was taller. He told me to tell the person to look down, and if he finds that his trousers have become shorter, he should know that there is nothing wrong with them because he is the one who had grown taller. When it was time for testimonies, he came forward with his wife, who testified that her husband had indeed grown taller. How do you explain that? God's creative power was at work to make the impossible possible.

I pray that God will give you creative miracles, in Jesus' name.

 PRAYER POINT:

Father, please stretch forth Your mighty hands to heal and do mighty wonders and creative miracles in my life and family, in Jesus’ name (Acts 4:30).

HYMN: 25 - THE GREAT PHYSICIAN NOW IS NEAR

1 The great Physician now is near,

the sympathizing Jesus;

He speaks the drooping heart to cheer,

oh! hear the voice of Jesus.

Refrain:

Sweetest note in seraph song,

sweetest name on mortal tongue;

sweetest carol ever sung,

Jesus, blessed Jesus.

2 Your many sins are all forgiven,

oh! hear the voice of Jesus;

go on your way in peace to heaven,

and wear a crown with Jesus.

3 All glory to the risen Lamb!

I now believe in Jesus;

I love the blessed Savior's name,

I love the name of Jesus.

4 His name dispels my guilt and fear,

no other name but Jesus;

oh! how my soul delights to hear

the charming name of Jesus.

TOPIC: ASK FOR MERCY

MEMORISE:

“Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” - (Hebrews 4:16)

READ: LUKE 18:10-14 (KJV)

10  Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.

11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.

12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.

13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.

14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

MESSAGE:

A brilliant Bible study leader always taught married couples that when the wife is pregnant and is about to deliver, all they need do is bind all the bindables, loose all the loosables, command the baby to come out, and the baby will be delivered easily. When he got married, and his wife became pregnant and was about to deliver, he said the same prayers, but the baby did not come out. After his wife had been in labour for three days, he fell on his face and said, "God, just have mercy on me." When he went back to see his wife, their baby had been delivered safely.

God is rich in mercy (Ephesians 2:4); His mercy is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear Him (Psalm 103:17). In Mark 1:40-42, a leper came to Jesus and said, "I know you can heal me if you are willing." Jesus, moved with compassion, said, "I will," and He did.

Beloved, when your prayers don't seem to be answered, just ask God for mercy; He hardly ignores such a plea. In today's Bible reading, Jesus told the story of two fellows who went to the temple to pray. One of them, a Pharisee, told God about all his good deeds; the other, a publican, bowed his head and said, "God be merciful to me, a sinner." The man who cried for mercy was the one who returned home justified. When you ask for mercy, you acknowledge your helplessness before God, and He will respond to you with help. Bartimaeus' cry for mercy reached Jesus' ears, and he got his miracle. He didn't only receive his sight; Jesus made him whole (Mark 10:46-52). The woman from Tyre and Sidon cried for mercy on behalf of her demon-possessed daughter, and Jesus helped her (Matthew 15:21-28). Those who ask God for mercy never leave empty-handed.

You need God's mercy when things are good and when they are not so good. You need mercy when you are in need and when you are satisfied. When in need, God's mercy will bring you answers to problems, and in good times, His mercy will preserve your blessings. The cry for mercy shouldn't only be on the lips of those who are in trouble and need urgent help; even those who live in abundance and believe they don't have problems must ask for mercy so nothing will tamper with their blessings.

 ACTION POINT:

Go ahead and ask for mercy in every area of your life.

HYMN:15 - PASS ME NOT, O GENTLE SAVIOUR

1 Pass me not, O gentle Savior,

Hear my humble cry,

While on others Thou art calling,

Do not pass me by.

Refrain:

Savior, Savior,

Hear my humble cry;

While on others Thou art calling,

Do not pass me by.

2 Let me at a throne of mercy

Find a sweet relief;

Kneeling there in deep contrition,

Help my unbelief.

3 Trusting only in Thy merit,

Would I seek Thy face;

Heal my wounded, broken spirit,

Save me by Thy grace.

4 Thou the Spring of all my comfort,

More than life to me,

Whom have I on earth beside Thee?

Whom in heav'n but Thee?

3 O LORD, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.

4 Sing unto the LORD, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.

5 For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

6 And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved.

9. Father, You promised to never leave me nor forsake me. Please, let Your presence continually abide with me, in Jesus' name.

10. Father, please help me to depend on You all the days of my life. Give me the grace to reject alternatives to Your will for my life, in Jesus' name.

11. Father, please guide me at all times. Help me to always hear Your voice telling me which way to go, in Jesus' name.

HYMNAL: 27 - WHAT A FRIEND WE HAVE IN JESUS

1 What a friend we have in Jesus,

all our sins and griefs to bear!

What a privilege to carry

everything to God in prayer!

O what peace we often forfeit,

O what needless pain we bear,

all because we do not carry

everything to God in prayer!

2 Have we trials and temptations?

Is there trouble anywhere?

We should never be discouraged;

take it to the Lord in prayer!

Can we find a friend so faithful

who will all our sorrows share?

Jesus knows our every weakness;

take it to the Lord in prayer!

3 Are we weak and heavy laden,

cumbered with a load of care?

Precious Savior, still our refuge--

take it to the Lord in prayer!

Do your friends despise, forsake you?

Take it to the Lord in prayer!

In his arms he'll take and shield you;

you will find a solace there.

TOPIC: GOD IN YOU

MEMORISE:

“For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.” - (1 Corinthians 11:31)

READ: 1 CORINTHIANS 11:23-34 (KJV)

23 For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:

24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.

25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.

27 Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.

28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.

29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.

30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.

31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.

32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

33 Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, tarry one for another.

34 And if any man hunger, let him eat at home; that ye come not together unto condemnation. And the rest will I set in order when I come.

MESSAGE:

When you partake of the Holy Communion, you are eating Jesus' body and drinking His blood, as we read in today's Bible reading. You are not just touching His body and blood, you are ingesting Him, and you can boldly say to anyone, "Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world" (1 John 4:4).

When I was an interpreter for my Father in the Lord, I usually looked forward to Holy Communion services. Then, we partook of the Holy Communion once every year, and I was always excited because I knew that my spiritual battery would be recharged. Papa would be preaching, and I would be interpreting, thinking to myself, "Papa, please hurry up so we can get to the Communion." By the time we finally got around to drinking the wine, I usually had to control myself from dropping the cup because I would be shaking from head to toe. I cherish partaking of the Communion so much because I always experience a new infilling of the Holy Spirit every time I drink the wine.

The Holy Communion is not an ordinary meal; the moment God's minister blesses the bread and the wine, using the words of Jesus Christ in (1 Corinthians 11:24-26), they become sacred. The wine in the Communion represents the blood of Jesus, and this blood cleanses from all sin. The blood also causes every evil to pass over us as it did with the Israelites on the night the destroyer killed all the firstborns in Egypt (Exodus 12:21-30). This means that the blood of Jesus protects us and grants us victory over the enemy (Revelation 12:11). This is why those who drink it unworthily (in sin) fall sick and die (1 Corinthians 11:27-30). Those who drink it worthily experience a resurrection power from within, producing healing, deliverance, intimacy with God, and more.

When you take the Holy Communion, you have come to dine at the table of the King of kings, and it is important that you do not have anything that will mark you as an enemy of the King as you approach His table. Ensure that you examine yourself and get rid of anything that would expose you to the wrath of the King. Get rid of sin, doubt, and everything that would not allow the power in Christ's body and blood to manifest in your life.

 ACTION POINT:

Let go of everything that will not allow the power of God in the Holy Communion to manifest in your life.

MEMORISE:

“And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.” - (Mark 9:24)

READ: EZEKIEL 37:1-14 (KJV)

1 The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones,

2 And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry.

3 And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest.

4 Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD.

5 Thus saith the Lord GOD unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live:

6 And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

7 So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone.

8 And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath in them.

9 Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.

10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.

11 Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts.

12 Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.

13 And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves,

14 And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, saith the LORD.

MESSAGE:

In today's Bible reading, Ezekiel found himself in a valley that was full of dry bones. When God asked him, "Can these bones live?" The prophet, considering the seemingly impossible situation before him, answered, "Lord, only You can tell." In other words, he was saying, "This is beyond my faith." God asked him to prophesy, and as he did, the dry bones came back to life.

Most ministers of God know that He can do all things. However, sometimes, the faith of even the greatest ministers can be terribly shaken. Sometimes, God will ask me to do something, and despite my faith in Him, I will say, "Daddy, this is beyond my faith." He will ask me to prophesy all the same, and I will just obey and leave the fulfilment to Him.

When you hear a minister of God prophesy, and it is beyond your faith, please don't speak against the prophecy. Even if you don't believe the prophecy, control your mouth not to speak against it because the consequences may be severe. In (2 Kings 7:19-20), a top government official said it was impossible for Elisha's prophecy to be fulfilled; he saw the prophecy come to pass, but he died before he could partake of it.

In Mark 9:14-27, Jesus' disciples were unable to deliver a demon-possessed boy, and his father had lost hope. When Jesus arrived at the scene, the boy's father's request for compassion was filled with doubt. I know this because Jesus said, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes." Instead of sinking further in unbelief, the man cried out, "Lord, I believe; help my unbelief," and he received his miracle.

When situations are beyond your faith, cry out to God for help to believe. He can increase your faith to help you cooperate with Him to birth the impossible. Don't hinder your miracle because of unbelief. God wants you to be willing to do whatever He demands, like the servants at the wedding in Cana (John 2:5-8).

Beloved, when God brings situations that are beyond your faith your way, He wants to glorify Himself. At such times, it is not about what your faith can do but what God can do with your obedience and whatever measure of faith you have.

 KEY POINT:

When a situation is beyond your faith, look to God and do whatever He commands.

HYMN: 30 - WHEN WE WALK WITH THE LORD

1 When we walk with the Lord

in the light of his word,

what a glory he sheds on our way!

While we do his good will,

he abides with us still,

and with all who will trust and obey.

Refrain:

Trust and obey, for there's no other way

to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.

2 Not a burden we bear,

not a sorrow we share,

but our toil he doth richly repay;

not a grief or a loss,

not a frown or a cross,

but is blest if we trust and obey.

3 But we never can prove

the delights of his love

until all on the altar we lay;

for the favor he shows,

for the joy he bestows,

are for them who will trust and obey.

4 Then in fellowship sweet

we will sit at his feet,

or we'll walk by his side in the way;

what he says we will do,

where he sends we will go;

never fear, only trust and obey.

TOPIC: FOR HIS GLORY

MEMORISE:

“Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.” - (Psalm 29:2)

READ: ISAIAH 48:9-11 (KJV)

9 For my name's sake will I defer mine anger, and for my praise will I refrain for thee, that I cut thee not off.

10 Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.

11 For mine own sake, even for mine own sake, will I do it: for how should my name be polluted? and I will not give my glory unto another.

MESSAGE:

Yesterday, I discussed how every part of your life was created to give God pleasure. Today, I want to show you that you were also created to give God glory.

In John 9:1-7, the disciples asked Jesus about what was responsible for a blind man's situation, and He replied that it was not a question of sin but that God's glory might be revealed. The Lord spat on the ground, made some mud, put it on the blind man's eyes, and asked him to go and wash. The blind man came back seeing.

Glory belongs to God; He is the Father of glory (Ephesians 1:17). God is very jealous of His glory (Isaiah 42:8), and everything you do must give Him glory. If you try to hinder God from getting glory, He will only use you to get even more glory, as He did with Pharaoh. Even today, God is getting glory from the destruction of Pharaoh and his army because he tried to hinder the Israelites from worshipping and giving God glory (Exodus 15:1-4). Those who try to take God's glory will bring God's judgment upon themselves if they don't repent. When Nebuchadnezzar's heart was lifted because of his accomplishments, God made him roam the forest for seven years like a wild beast (Daniel 4:28-33). After eating grass like an animal, his understanding returned to him, and he gave God the glory He deserved (Daniel 4:34). It took a terrible experience for Nebuchadnezzar to give all the glory to God - do not be like Him. Always give God the glory that is due to His name. Herod also learnt to give God the glory the hard way. However, unlike Nebuchadnezzar who got a second chance, he was eaten up by worms until he died because he didn't give God the glory (Acts 12:20-23).

It is a terrible and fearful thing to fall into the hands of our God, who doesn't share His glory. When God does something for you, don't act like you did it all by yourself; acknowledge Him and give Him the glory. Some men of God have allowed the power God gave them to deceive them into thinking they are very important. Stop stealing God's show because you are absolutely nothing without Him. When God does anything through you, He does it for His name's sake. Don't ever forget that you are what you are by the grace of God. God deserves all the glory, and He must have it all.

 PRAYER POINT:

Father, I repent of every time I might have taken credit for the things You have done in my life. I will give You the glory due unto Your name now and always, in Jesus' name.

HYMN: 18 - PRAISE TO THE LORD, THE ALMIGHTY, THE KING OF CREATION

1 Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, the King of creation!

O my soul, praise him, for he is your health and salvation!

Come, all who hear; now to his temple draw near,

join me in glad adoration.

2 Praise to the Lord, above all things so wondrously reigning;

sheltering you under his wings, and so gently sustaining!

Have you not seen all that is needful has been

sent by his gracious ordaining?

3 Praise to the Lord, who will prosper your work and defend you;

surely his goodness and mercy shall daily attend you.

Ponder anew what the Almighty can do,

if with his love he befriends you.

4 Praise to the Lord! O let all that is in me adore him!

All that has life and breath, come now with praises before him.

Let the Amen sound from his people again;

gladly forever adore him.

TOPIC: FOR HIS PLEASURE

MEMORISE:

“Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” - (Revelation 4:11)

READ: MARK 8:22-26 (KJV)

22 And he cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto him, and besought him to touch him.

23 And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought.

24 And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking.

25 After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.

26 And he sent him away to his house, saying, Neither go into the town, nor tell it to any in the town.

MESSAGE:

God created the heavens and the earth in the beginning (Genesis 1:1-3). Today's memory verse also says that He made all things for His pleasure. Thus, He can control all things, and this is why the wind and the sea obeyed Him (Mark 4:35-41).

You were made for God's pleasure, but He cannot get any pleasure when your body is sick. In Mark 3:1-5, Jesus saw a man with a withered hand in the temple and must have thought to Himself, "Hand, I didn't make you to be withered; I made you for clapping." The man with the withered hand didn't pray or ask for healing; the Lord healed the hand because it wasn't giving Him pleasure.

There was once an elderly man who was driving his Ford car when it suddenly broke down by the roadside. As he stood by the car looking confused, a rich man stopped right next to him and asked if he could help. The rich man got out of his car, opened the trunk of the faulty car, touched a few things, and attempted to start the car. Immediately, the car started. Amazed, the old man turned to the rich man and asked, "Why did you stop to help me?" The rich man replied, "My name is Henry Ford. I made that car to run, not to stop by the wayside." Beloved, the One who made you is passing by now, and He will deal with everything in your life that is not giving Him glory, in Jesus' name.

When something is not as God created it to be, it doesn't give Him pleasure. If there is any part of your life that is not revealing God's purpose, rather than complain, begin to speak God's counsel over it. God does all things after the counsel of His will, and when you stand on His will concerning anything, that thing must align to give Him pleasure (Ephesians 1:11).

In today's Bible reading, a blind man was brought to Jesus. Jesus led him out of the town, spat in his eyes, and put His hands on him. When He asked the blind man if he saw anything, the man replied, "I see men as trees walking." Even though he could now see, his eyes were not working optimally. Jesus didn't leave him to 'manage' the eyes; He laid His hands on him again, and he saw clearly. God wants every aspect of your life to perform optimally; nothing less than this gives Him pleasure.

 PRAYER POINT:

Lord, please transform my life so that everything that concerns me will always give You pleasure, in Jesus' name.

Sweetest note in seraph song,

sweetest name on mortal tongue;

sweetest carol ever sung,

Jesus, blessed Jesus.

2 Your many sins are all forgiven,

oh! hear the voice of Jesus;

go on your way in peace to heaven,

and wear a crown with Jesus.

3 All glory to the risen Lamb!

I now believe in Jesus;

I love the blessed Savior's name,

I love the name of Jesus.

TOPIC: BUT FOR THE LORD

MEMORISE:

“Blessed be the Lord, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth.” - (Psalm 124:6)

READ: PSALM 124:1-8 (KJV)

1  If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, now may Israel say;

2 If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up against us:

3 Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us:

4 Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul:

5 Then the proud waters had gone over our soul.

6 Blessed be the LORD, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth.

7 Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.

8 Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.

MESSAGE:

When I was a lecturer at the University of Ilorin, after my morning lectures, I would leave the campus, go home for lunch, and relax before returning for my evening lectures. I was also serving as the pastor of the RCCG parish in Ilorin then, so our living room was constantly filled with people. One afternoon, after eating, I lay on the couch in the living room to rest before returning for my evening lectures. I closed my eyes so people walking around would think that I was sleeping and not disturb me.

While lying down, someone grabbed my hands and legs and bent as if to kiss me. Initially, I thought it was my wife, but then I realised that whoever could hold my hands and legs at the same time must be much taller and stronger than her. I opened my eyes immediately, and the being (I really couldn't make out what it was) vanished. I wondered what had just happened as I felt a cold sensation run down my spine. I shook it off and went for my lectures. While I was on the campus, I started experiencing a terrible stomach ache, which led to severe stooling and vomiting. On returning home, I had to practically crawl from my car to the bathroom. Then I asked, "Lord, why is this happening to me?" and He responded, "I just wanted you to get a glimpse of the battles I fight for you that you are not aware of." Immediately He said that, the stomach ache, stooling, and vomiting stopped.

You have no idea how much God protects you as you go about your daily activities. You may think that you go and come safely because you are very careful or because you are a good driver, but believe me, your carefulness or driving skills cannot get you out of an accident that the devil has planned; only God can guarantee your safety. If you think that you are surrounded by security personnel, what will happen if they face a terror group with more sophisticated weapons than them? This is why Psalm 127:1 says that the watchman watches in vain if the Lord is not watching over the city.

Beloved, some people have plied the same routes you ply and gotten kidnapped or killed. Also, the same kind of food you eat is what has caused the death of others. You should constantly thank God for your safety; you will not be alive without Him (Lamentations 3:22).

 ACTION POINT:

Today is my birthday; please thank God on my behalf because He truly has been faithful to me.

AUTHOR PASTOR E A ADEBOYE

HYMN: 19 - ROCK OF AGES, CLEFT FOR ME

1 Rock of Ages, cleft for me,

let me hide myself in thee;

let the water and the blood,

from thy wounded side which flowed,

be of sin the double cure;

save from wrath and make me pure.

2 Not the labors of my hands

can fulfill thy law's demands;

could my zeal no respite know,

could my tears forever flow,

all for sin could not atone;

thou must save, and thou alone.

3 Nothing in my hand I bring,

simply to the cross I cling;

naked, come to thee for dress;

helpless, look to thee for grace;

foul, I to the fountain fly;

wash me, Savior, or I die.

4 While I draw this fleeting breath,

when mine eyes shall close in death,

when I soar to worlds unknown,

see thee on thy judgment throne,

Rock of Ages, cleft for me,

let me hide myself in thee.
